CES: Know Before You Go

And Important Steps to Take Before Leaving for CES

CES® 2022 is right around the corner, and the excitement is building. Over 2200 exhibiting companies and hundreds of speakers from around the world are ready to show you how tech has never been more important in our lives.

Before you head out to Las Vegas, review these important reminders on health protocols and the show entry process to make your CES arrival and entry experience as smooth as possible.

1) Before You Leave Home

As a reminder, all CES attendees must be FULLY vaccinated against COVID-19. Only individuals who are vaccinated against COVID-19 will be able to pick up a CES badge and access CES in-person in Las Vegas.

CES also recommends you take a COVID-19 test prior to departing for Las Vegas. International travelers must show a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 1 day before travel to the U.S. Please check your airline website for details. We highly recommend attendees get a COVID booster vaccine and the flu vaccine, if available.

2) Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination

CES attendees MUST show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend CES in Las Vegas. Attendees unable to provide this proof will not receive a CES 2022 badge to access the official show venues.

Detailed information on CES' proof of COVID-19 vaccination process can be found here

3) Pick up your badge BEFORE entering show facilities

Every attendee, exhibitor and press member must pick up their own CES badge. Attendees will not be able to pick up badges for other attendees.

We recommend attendees arriving at McCarran Airport use the Badge Pickup locations in the airport terminal, located in Terminals 1 and 3 to show their proof of vaccination and obtain their show badge.

CES’ badge pickup locations and hours can be found here.

4) Test Before Entering a CES Venue

CES requests that you test for COVID-19 within the 24 hour period prior to entering a CES venue.

CES will distribute one complimentary Abbott BinaxNOW COVID-19 Antigen Self Test kit, provided by Abbott, to each attendee upon retrieving their badge. Test kits are available at select badge pickup and Customer Service Center locations. If you pick up your badge at a location that does not have test kit distribution, you may proceed to one of the Customer Service Centers to pick up your test kit.

CES recommends attendees use their complimentary Abbott BinaxNOW COVID-19 Self Test within 24 hours prior to entering an official show venue. The test is easy to use, requires only a shallow nasal swab, takes 15 minutes and can be done from the convenience of your hotel room.

Detailed information on CES' COVID-19 testing options can be found here.

5) Mask During the Show

Masks are required indoors in the State of Nevada. CES attendees will be required to wear masks as follows:

  • In exhibit booths and indoor exhibit facilities.

  • In conference and keynote rooms.

  • CES shuttle buses and any CES transportation services.

Masks are optional when outside. CES will have safety ambassadors throughout the exhibit floor providing masks to those who may need one.

Detailed information on CES' health protocols can be found here.

6) Test if You are Experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms while at a CES venue, please immediately visit a First Aid area in the venue in which you are located to obtain a COVID-19 test. You will be asked to remain in an isolated observation area and will receive test results within 25 minutes.

If you feel ill, please do not come to the CES exhibit facilities. You may use your Abbott BinaxNOW Self Test or go to one of these locations to obtain a COVID-19 test.

Detailed information on CES' COVID-19 testing options can be found here.

7) PCR Tests for International Travelers Returning Home

CES will provide free RT-PCR tests for attendees who are traveling back to their international destination and who require a test to travel. Attendees will be required to present proof of outbound international travel within 72 hours of testing to be eligible. Please bring your trip confirmation and your passport to the testing facility.
