CTA Green Grants Program
Since the start of the Green Grants Program, CTA has invested nearly $800,000 in grants to fund green initiatives in and around Las Vegas, demonstrating its commitment to the community and the environment.
Some of the green initiatives that CTA has supported through the Green Grants Program include:
- The installation of solar panels and energy-efficient lighting at local schools and non-profits.
- Support the expansion of a food rescue program.
- Lighting up the classic Welcome to Las Vegas sign with solar power.
- Planting trees and helping build school gardens.
CTA awards the grants annually to organizations that demonstrate a clear vision, measurable goals, and a positive impact on the environment and the community. The grant recipients are selected by a panel of experts from CTA. The grant amount varies depending on the scope and scale of the project, but typically ranges from $10,000 to $50,000 per recipient.

Three Square
"Food rescue enables us to promote environmentally sustainable practices while significantly impacting the lives of more than 341,000 neighbors facing hunger,” said Beth Martino, president and CEO of Three Square Food Bank. “Thanks to the Greener Grant Program, Three Square can ensure quality, wholesome food is distributed to those in need instead of ending up in landfills. We are deeply grateful for their support as we strive to end hunger in Southern Nevada”.

ImpactNV
"Thanks to the visionary support from CTA's Green Grant, ImpactNV has achieved monumental strides in sustainability across Southern Nevada. From illuminating the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign with solar power to accelerating our 10 Year, 100,000 tree urban forestry program, our partnership has not only transformed our landscape but also set a new standard for sustainable development. Together, we are paving the way towards a brighter, greener, more resilient future for our community”.

Touro University Nevada
“The Green Grant we received from the Consumer Technology Association allowed us to add solar tables to enhance the outdoor space on campus for our students, thereby encouraging a healthy environment for the rigors of medical school. Students can enjoy the use of their devices in the outdoors with better access to charging and Wi-Fi capabilities. These solar tables have been a welcome addition to the Touro University Nevada campus”.
Other Sustainability Initiatives:
- At CES 2024, CTA launched the Consumer Technology Circularity Initiative (CTCI), a groundbreaking and voluntary industry initiative to reduce waste, encourage more reuse, enhance recycling, reduce climate impact, and see less disposal of consumer electronics. It builds on efforts in the environmental and sustainability field organized by CTA during the past decade focused on scrap consumer electronics collected for recycling.
- CTA’s Board of Industry Leaders is committed to industry-led efforts that promote environmental sustainability. Recently, the organization has led the development of technology standards focused on energy management, production, and consumption.
