The consumer technology industry is essential to ensuring our planet’s sustainability and resilience while empowering individuals to reduce their own impacts. CES is committed to utilizing and demonstrating solutions in fighting climate change and setting ambitious targets to reduce the carbon emissions produced by the event and values chains.

Waste Initiative

CES 2024 had over 4,000 exhibitors who were conscious about the waste they were potentially creating. In partnership with Freeman and Honeycomb Strategies, CES is committed to engaging exhibitors in waste reduction through a robust donation program across three venues.   • CES 2024 donated over 4,000 lbs of reduced material from over 60 exhibitors and partners. CES partnered with two local organizations to find these usable items a new home.
    • Since 1954, Opportunity Village has been dedicated to helping people with disabilities find the very best version of themselves.
    • Goodwill of Southern Nevada supports thousands of people each year with free career services and local community grants.

Community Initiative

CES has enjoyed the friendly hospitality of Las Vegas for # years and we recognize the impact our 138,000 attendees have on the community. CES is committed to leaving a lasting positive impact on the Las Vegas area community.

Green Grants Program - For more than 20 years, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® has recognized and supported the sustainability efforts of organizations in Southern Nevada, home of CES, through the Green Grants program

  • The installation of solar panels and energy-efficient lighting at local schools and non-profits.
  • Support the expansion of a food rescue program.
  • Lighting up the classic Welcome to Las Vegas sign with solar power.
  • Planting trees and helping build school gardens.

Samsung E-Waste Recycling

At CES 2025, exhibitors and attendees can help reduce waste by dropping off unwanted electronics in Samsung E-waste Recycle Bins conveniently located throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center and The Venetian.  In partnership with Samsung, CES 2025 proudly hosts a full-scale electronic recycling program, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and keeping event materials out of landfills.Bin Locations Located near Floor Manager Offices:
