At CES® 2021, Kohler presented the new line of Kohler smart home products, unveiling how connected solutions at home can enable better safety, health and wellness.
From the time Kohler founder John Michael Kohler created the first Kohler bathtub, the intent was to provide “gracious living to all.”
At CES® 2021, the Kohler team kept that mission alive, unveiling products that showed how smart home innovations are the key to safer, healthier living.
“Smart home is about changing consumers’ lives, making it that more efficient, that much simpler,” said Jonathan Bradley, smart home innovation lead at Kohler in Kohler’s CES 2021 press conference.
Kohler aims for these additions to its smart home portfolio to “create more moments of wellbeing.”
Making a Splash in Wellness
Mental wellness and comfort are a large part of self-care and health and can now be elevated by a Kohler product. The Stillness Bath is among the many Kohler products that caught the attention of the audience at CES 2021.
The bath draws inspiration from Japanese forest bathing, including water, light, fog and aromas to help the user relax their mind and soothe their body. Essential oils, surrounding lighting and the natural sound of flowing water create a chromatherapy experience and promote focus and relaxation.
Hands-Free, Germ-free
Kohler’s touchless bathroom experience offers hands-free activations for washing hands, brushing teeth, using the toilet and more.
Particularly relevant in a time where consumers are more aware of the spread of germs than ever, touchless solutions in the bathroom can decrease the potential spread of bacteria.
Touchless showerheads, the PerfectFill bath filler, a motion-sensor toilet flush and more provide consumers with a way to go through everyday routines hands-free and germ-free.
In Case of Emergency: Leave it to the Home
Water is at the heart of many Kohler products. Kohler’s flagship initiative, Safe Water for All, aims to provide access to safe water to thousands of individuals in underserved communities.
In homes, small steps like water conservation made possible by Kohler products such as a metered pour, can help consumers contribute through everyday routines.
The Kohler water monitoring system mounts under a cabinet and alerts users of usage and where waste occurs. A version of the system is also able to auto shut off in the event of an emergency, keeping the home safe from leaks, flooding and waste, as well as conserving water.
Consumers are turning more often toward solutions that make homes all the more convenient and efficient. Yet as users enrich and personalize their lives at home, smart home solutions such as Kohler’s can help them also pay attention to health, safety and social impact.
