Las Vegas welcomed CES 2024 across 2.5 million square feet of prime event real estate. That’s a big change from the show’s premier in 1967 when it occupied about 100,000 square feet at the Hilton and Americana hotels in New York. The event featured 117 exhibitors visited by 17,500 attendees.
Celebrate CTA's 100th Anniversary
Back in 1967, the first show’s highlights included transistor radios, stereos and televisions with integrated circuits that paved the way for advances in color and digital TV. Marquee exhibitors included 3M, Motorola, Panasonic, Philips, Sony and Toshiba.
Fast-forward 57 years to 2024. CES hosted more than 4000 exhibitors in 40-plus product categories to demonstrate how far technology has come. More than 1000 speakers offered expert perspectives on the present and future state of technologies impacting digital health, artificial intelligence, sustainability, accessibility, diversity and inclusion, vehicle tech, space tech, cybersecurity and metaverse, as well as on policy, research and trends.
Here’s a look at the ways CTA’s 100-year highlights were on display at CES 2024.
