The incidence of malignant lymphoma in companion dogs is up to 5 times higher than in humans,
so detection of early tumors is very critical for the successful tumor treatment.
Optical imaging can be used for tumor detection, but conventional optical imaging systems can detect tumors in only a dark room.
To tackle these technological limitations,
we've developed not only a cancer-targeting contrast agent but also an optical imaging technology that visualizes only tumors with high contrast even under the ambient light.
We have confirmed the excellence of high-resolution imaging devices through animal testing with researchers at Harvard Medical School.
