Dr. Stephan Kirchmeyer

Marketing Manager, COPT Center

Stephan Kirchmeyer has studied chemistry from 1978 to 1987 at the University of Hamburg and at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. After a postdoctoral fellowship at IBM in San Jose/USA he worked for Bayer, H.C. Starck, and Heraeus in various positions. Jointly with his group he developed the conductive polymer PEDOT and its various applications. In 2009 he was elected to become a member of the OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association) Board and chaired the Board from 2011 to 2015. At present he works as Marketing and Public Relationship Manager for the COPT Center in Cologne, Germany. The COPT Center is a technology transfer institute founded by the University of Cologne.
