Jessica Uguccioni

Lead Lawyer, Law Commission of England and Wales

Jessica is the lead lawyer for the Law Commissions’ three-year review of the UK’s regulatory framework for the safe deployment of automated vehicles. She has been at the Law Commission of England and Wales since 2010. At the Commission she has previously managed the criminal law team and worked on projects in taxi and private hire services and consumer protection. Her work focusses on how to adapt laws in light of emerging technologies. Before joining the civil service, Jessica was a lecturer in Law at Durham University and had been in private practice at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York and London, specialising in corporate law and intellectual property. She graduated with a BA in Law from Churchill College, Cambridge University and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
