John Schnoes

Alliance Global Director, Connected Car and Services Engineering, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi

John Schnoes is Alliance Global Director for Connected Vehicles. In this role, John is responsible for all connected vehicle related technologies and services. This includes end-to-end responsibility for the development, deployment and field quality of the products and services, with a focus on Nissan and future Mitsubishi Motors vehicles. Prior to this role, John was responsible for the strategy of all Connected & Autonomous projects globally for Nissan Motor Company as a program director and division general manager for connected vehicles & autonomous drive strategy. This included responsibility for product strategy as well as profit and loss for all technologies related to connectivity, connected services and autonomous drive. John joined Nissan Technical Center North America (NTCNA) in 2002 from Ford Motor Company. At NTCNA, he was director of electrical & electronics engineering responsible for the design & test departments in the US, Mexico and Brazil between 2008 and 2013 as well as an assistant Chief Vehicle Engineer for the Nissan LEAF. He is a holder of two patents and have a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
