Matthew Sacks

President and CEO, Luminary Media

As the President, CEO and co-founder of Luminary Media, Sacks oversees all strategic and operational aspects of Luminary. Prior to co-founding Luminary, Sacks was a Principal at New Enterprise Associates, one of the world’s largest and most active venture capital firms with over $20 billion in assets. At NEA, Sacks focused on consumer and enterprise technology investments and worked on a number of accounts including goop, Dreams, Tamara Mellon Brand, Raise and Wallapop, as well as through the company's $3.3 billion acquisition by Walmart. Prior to joining NEA Sacks was a member of the Technology, Media, and Telecom investment banking group at Goldman Sachs where his work centered on the consumer internet sector and private company coverage. Sacks was also on the launch team at, a social network for music sharing and discovery. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania.
