Samsung’s ALoP is a next generation telephoto camera solution with new folded zoom structure. Unlike the conventional model, it places the lenses directly on the prism rather than in-between prism and sensor. With such new structural improvement, ALoP is able to improve brightness and reduce noise while decreasing the module shoulder height and length.

The shoulder height and length of the module can be directly translated to amount of camera bump, which has been the pain point for smartphone designers. With ALoP, the reduced module shoulder height and length will allow more aesthetic design, benefiting both users and device developers.
