However, EV drivers face frustrating charging experiences such as queues, interruptions to unplug and move the vehicle once fully charged, penalty fees for delayed unplugging etc. The solution lies in automated valet charging. Bosch combines SAE Level 4 automated valet parking with charging solutions. The driverless parking system precisely navigates the car to a robotic charging station where the charger plugs automatically. When the car is fully charged, the system automatically swaps it with the next vehicle, all managed without human intervention. This innovation enhances charging infrastructure efficiency and charging station use.
