Powercast’s “Ubiquity” transmitter is the result of our efforts to reduce costs of RF power-
over-distance transmitting technology so that convenient, contactless power can become ubiquitous,
and able to charge many battery-free devices throughout the home without intervention.
Designed to be the industry’s most economical RF transmitter, “Ubiquity” will take two forms: 1) a
standalone $30 transmitter Powercast will produce and distribute, and 2) a module containing the
hardware and electronics necessary for manufacturers to inexpensively embed RF wireless charging
into their own devices for only $7 BOM, enabling them to power RF-powered sustainable devices
that eliminate disposable batteries.
