Hirose Electric has developed the BM55 Series, the industry's smallest* hybrid signal/power board-to-board connector, stacking height of 0.019in.and 0.0590in. depth for use in compact devices like wearables and AR/VR. With 5G, quick charging, wireless charging and AI technologies, consumer devices have become more complex. BM55 allows added levels of design flexibility resulting in critical space-savings. With 5A current, the power contacts have a breakage preventing multi-point metal lock design. The hybrid power and signal design fulfils the role of two connectors.
