Don Graves is the 19th Deputy Secretary of Commerce. Graves serves as the Economic Growth Coordinator for Puerto Rico and is also a Commissioner of the Helsinki Commission. Graves four-times great-grandparents built a successful taxi business in Washington that once stood at the site of the Department. Their son went on to own a premier hotel and become one of America's first Black patent-holders.
