Since 1 Jan 2019 Pedro has been Director of the Human Development Report Office and lead author of the Human Development Report. He has degrees in Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico and in Economics from the Tech University of Lisbon and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at University of Texas at Austin, where he studied with a Fulbright scholarship.
